Welcome to East

Welcome to East Elementary! We are so excited to have the opportunity to work with all of our new and returning families this year. We want this year to be a positive experience for both you and your child. We will be working to create a caring community where your child can experience success and develop a love for learning. Student academic success is the main goal of every staff member of East Elementary. We believe that every student will learn to the highest level. We ask for your support and participation in this effort by sending your child to school every day, encouraging your child to read at least 20 minutes every evening, monitoring your child’s homework, and asking your child to share what they learned at school each day. Let’s SOAR, East Eagles!

School Day Information

Our school day begins at 8:00 a.m. and ends at 3:15 p.m. School doors open for students at 7:40 a.m. No one is available to supervise children before 7:40 a.m or after 3:30 p.m. Therefore, no student should be left on school property prior to 7:40 a.m or after 3:30 p.m. A supervised after school program is available from 3:30-5:30 p.m. The cost is $25.00 per week.

Dress Code

All students are required to adhere to the JMCSS dress code policy. Students are required to wear orange, black, or white polo style shirts with collars and khaki, navy blue, or black bottoms. A black or brown belt is required for all garments with belt loops for all students. Coats, jackets, or sweaters worn inside the building must be solid orange, black, navy blue, or white and must not have a hood. There are no guidelines for coats worn outside the building.

Campus Emergencies

Should a campus emergency occur during the school day, families of students will be notified through an all-call by school or district personnel. The all-call will be sent as soon as possible, but only after facts are gathered and accurate information can be shared. During campus emergencies, it may be impossible for school staff to answer phone calls or respond to emails. Please, know in these difficult times, we will work as quickly as possible to make sure you are informed about the safety of your students.
